Kyo-matcha chocolate / monaka

After a big typhoon, the weather turned to Autumn a little bit.
My regular commute to a convini earned a lot of Autumn flavour, chestnut, pumpkin  etc.
This matcha chocolate as well, covered with monaka skin, which is crispy and very light, inside is whipped matcha flavour chocolate.

I recall when I was a child I didn't like sweetend matcha drink, but you see, how gorgeous matcha flavoured chocs are!

Well I should not eat them a lot. It's Autumn and my apetizer just woke up to grab tasty foods.
Chao!

Oh by the way, Kumamon will visit Harvard Uni this November, with the governor of Kumamoto prefecture, who will give a lecture about Economics of Kumamon.
Kumamon will hang around the town on the next day (scheduled 13th Nov.)

Akihabara at a glance

These are both Akihabara guide map.

I don't know whiy... but Japanese version(left) has a bit more attractive characters on it.
And Foreigner version, it looks more classic style, maybe because it has a lot of Kanji letters...?

You can pick them up at JR Akihabara station. If you can't find it, somebody already took them! haha

Snoopy x pocky

Pocky has been very much loved chocolate snack in Japan!
And I found this cute package!!!!

Backside is cuter, you can pull Snoopy's arms and hang them to the edge of your bag, bring it to everywhere. Surely cute, huh?

KitKat Big little - Salt & Caramel

This one is another funny stuff.

You can see this is a KitKat, but not in a usual shape. Also it is given a funny name [Big リトル] (Big little) WTF?!?!

Okay, the taste is as usual, a little bit fluffy than normal one. And salt and caramel flavour have been popular here.

Wanna repeat?  No.

Cacao plus Uji maccha (宇治抹茶)

I found another maccha(green tea) chocolate yesterday.

This ball shape chocolate tastes quite good. It says the inside is concentrated cacao, the outside is maccha chocolate, then covered with maccha powder.
Melt a ball in a mouse, it changes its taste from green tea to bitter cacao.

If you are a maccha lover, this is must try!

Chocolates from Japan

Please have a look, new chocs from Japan!

1. Bireley's tirol chocolate.
You must know Bireley's - orange flavour beverage.

Tirol Chocolate combined Bireley's this with their tirol chocolate!!
This tastes just like an orange juice. Yum.

2. Koeda Ball.
Koeda chocolate is also famous, and has sort of long history here in Japan.
I don't remember when was the first time I ate Koeda...maybe ages ago.

Koeda means small branch, so its shape is usually like a branch.
But, Morinaga made Koeda into a ball shape this time, an easy to eat snacks.
Also texture seems a bit different from original Koeda, because Koeda Ball id more fluffy than original Koeda.

Anyway, try them :D

Puyo puyo gumi

Remember the Japanese clasdic video game "PUYOPUYO"?
Now it returns to real, as gumi candy with six flavours such as grape, melon, strawberry, apple, lemon and soda.
Oh yes, the texture should be similar to that bouncy puyopuyo.

Wanna try?

Build a robot, "Robi"

Interested in building a robot part by part every week?
"Robi" might be the robot you want.
Weekly Robi magazine comes with small parts of the robot. and in 70 weeks it will be completed.
Robi has quite interesting abilities such as walking smoothly, talking, sensoring human's movement, voice recognition!
If you're livng in Japan and love robots, you're lucky!
The first issue is 790yen but, after that every issue costs 1990yen. Some special issues cost more, so it will be about 160,000yen in total.
But, less than 200 2000 dollers for this isn't such bad, is it?

Morning commute

Morning commute in Tokyo is such a crazy event for most of salary men and women.
People are packed in a carriage, not allowed to move, then delivered to there office.
If you visit Tojyo, and arr not used to this kind of rush hour train, you'd better avoid this unless you really need or want to experience.
